Best free iPhone apps of 2013 - Grab'em !

22:38 Posted by kkb , , , , No comments

With Apples 5th Anniversary of the iOS Store , Many of the Paid apps have gone FREE for a limited period of Time ... Below is a list of all the free apps and paid apps (now free for limited time) Which you should definitely download .

1. Facebook

The world's biggest social network brings a tightly honed experience to the iPhone and iPod touch, but nonetheless still enables you to access your contacts, feeds and other important information. This sense of focus makes it in many ways superior to using Facebook in a desktop browser.

  • 2. PhotoSynth

We did a bit of a double-take on seeing Microsoft's name attached to this, not least given the lack of a price-tag. But PhotoSynth is a really great panorama app; it's user-friendly and fun to use, especially when watching your panoramas take shape while you capture them. (The iOS Camera app also has a panorama mode, but PhotoSynth's more flexible and works with older devices.)

    3. RunKeeper

The prospect of Nike+ but better and for free might sound unlikely, but that's what RunKeeper provides. Previously split into 'pro' and 'free' versions, the developer now generously includes all the features in one free app.
That means you can spend no money, yet use your iPhone's GPS capabilities to track your jogging and cycling routes, and examine mapping and details of your pace and calories burned. Activities can be shared online, and treadmill runs and other exercise details can be entered manually.

Dragon 4.0 For Android to beat Apple’s Siri

Dragon aspires to be an incredibly reliable and intuitive mobile personal assistant, not only responding to commands and providing relevant content, but also anticipating people’s needs in the moment-just like a true personal assistant

When in Driver Mode, the new 4.0 version of Dragon Mobile Assistant switches to voice only and will begin reading incoming texts and messages to you automatically. The app can even be configured to read incoming Facebook notifications while on the road.
    -->
Dragon is given access to much more information and different parts of the operating system. This means it can replace the Google Now search option if the user prefers Dragon over the baked-in Android option. It’s a big goal, trying to overtake Google’s own voice recognition product.

OSX running on Microsoft Surface Pro [video]

    18:31 Posted by kkb , , , , , No comments
Unofficial modified versions of OS X are available, bypassing the Apple-imposed checks that determine whether the computer is actually a Mac, requiring only that the hardware is similar to the one found on typical Mac computers.

    Surface Pro OS X

The Surface Pro is powered with an Intel Core i5 and hardware similar to the one found on low-end Mac devices, therefore running OS X on this device sounds feasible, just like other PC’s that are capable of running tweaked versions of OS X. However, doubts about the legitimacy of the video lie among many, since it wouldn’t have been too difficult to capture a video of the OS X interface and playing it back on the Surface. Have a look at the video below and check for yourself:

Webplatform.org - Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and others join forces to launch new Web standards resource

    15:45 Posted by kkb , , , No comments

Web Platform Docs is a new community-driven site that aims to become a comprehensive and authoritative source for web developer documentation. Even though Web Platform Docs is still in alpha, you can already find lots of valuable content on the site, including information on:
    • How to use features of the open web, with syntax and examples
    • What platforms and devices you can use various technologies on
    • What is the current standardization, stability and implementation status of each technology specification

In an attempt to create the “definitive resource” for all open Web technologies, Apple, Adobe, Facebook, Google, HP, Microsoft, Mozilla, Nokia, and Opera have joined the W3C to launch a new website called ‘Web Platform
The new website will serve as a single source of relevant, up-to-date and quality information on the latest HTML5, CSS3, and other Web standards, offering tips on web development and best practises for the technologies.
According to the W3C, the website will also display the status of a particular technology’s standardisation and cross-browser implementation.
Screen Shot 2012 10 08 at 15.48.14 520x299 Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and others join forces to launch new Web standards resource
The site exists as a Wiki, allowing employees representing each of the member companies to add their own updates and to contribute to the site. The project has been funded and has a team dedicated to ensuring it is well maintained (the W3C serves as the website’s curator).
Users can interact on the forums or discuss their projects and coding tips on the site’s dedicated IRC channel.
All documents posted to the Web Platform website are licensed under creative commons. While the initial content is provided by the member companies, website visitors are encouraged to share code examples, tips and tricks or any other relevant information using the Wiki.
As Adobe puts it: “It is now up to the web community to help create and maintain the most comprehensive and authoritative reference for web technologies. So, go check it out and start contributing. Document the web!”

    Cheers :)

Dashboard X 2.0 Takes iOS To The Next Level [Cydia]

14:30 Posted by kkb , , No comments

One of the things many users love so much about iOS is the simplicity. When you compare it with other mobile operating systems, iOS has a lot less going on. There are no fancy widgets or any of that, and for some users this is great. For others, just a bunch of icons on a screen is not enough to satisfy them, and that is where jailbreaking comes in. Jailbreaking opens up a new world of customization. For users missing widgets, Dashboard X 2.0 is the single best way to put widgets on an iOS device.
Dashboard X offers a long list of downloadable widgets that should make even the most fussy of customizers happy. There are widgets for almost anything you can think of. Setting them up is easy enough, and it really does take the efficiency of your iPhone or iPad screen to another level. This tweak is useful for someone who wants a little more from their iPhone, or someone switching from Android who misses widgets on their home screen.

    Installation and Set Up

All you need to do is search for Dashboard X on Cydia and purchase the tweak. It is available for $1.99. After the install, you will be prompted to respring your device. Once you respring, Dashboard X will be ready to get to work.

    Getting Widgets

Out of the box, Dashboard X comes with no widgets installed. If you navigate your iOS device to “Settings,” and scroll down and click “Dashboard X” from the list, you will be able to add new widgets from here.
Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the setting screen and you will see a button labeled “More Widgets.” Click this and you will get two options. The first is Notification Widgets, which are the same widgets you can use in notification center. The second options is Dashboard X Widgets, which are built specifically for Dashboard X. Both work fine, but there are many more to choose from in the Notification Widgets section.

Clicking either of the two options will bring you to Cydia, where you can see the list of available widgets. Click and download one as you would any other Cydia tweak, respring your device, and you will be ready to add it to your screen.

    Adding Widgets to your Screen

Dashboard X supports displaying widgets in two different ways. The first, applies them directly to your home screen. The second choice is to use a separate dashboard to display the widgets only when you need to use them.
To add a widget directly to the home screen, tap and hold on any app until they start wiggling. Once your home screen is editable, tap and hold on any blank space, and the list of installed widgets will open. Choose the widget you want to display, and it will appear. You can move it around just like you would any other application installed on your device.
To add a widget to the dashboard, you will need to set up an activator action to open the dashboard or use the default, which is a double tap of the status bar. If you have no other widgets installed, performing your activator action will cause a message to come up telling you that there are no widgets and you can tap “Okay” to add some. If you have widgets and want to add more, you will need to open the dashboard, tap and hold on a blank space until your widgets wiggle and then tap and hold again to open the page to add a widget.

What Kind of Widgets Are There?

We have covered some of the best widgets available in Notification Center, and all of these will work with Dashboard X. Of course, there plenty more not covered there, and these are just some of the ones available.
    • Dashtweet – You can send tweets from your home screen. I cannot fathom a quicker way to share your thoughts with the world.
    • Music Widget – Play, pause and skip songs right from your home screen. Shows album artwork if available. I tested it with Spotify and it worked perfectly including the album art.
    • YTubSearchDaSH – While not the most clever name, this handy widget lets you search YouTube quickly and easily. There is also TwiSearchDaSH for Twitter, NstaSearchDaSH for Instagram, FBSearchDaSH for Facebook and GoogleDaSH for Google.
These widgets, along with the slew of widgets available in the notification center offer a great widget experience on iOS.

    Cool,  isn't it ?!  :O

How to install siri(spire) on ipod Touch 3g,4g,iphone 4 with i4siri free Proxy server

22:37 Posted by Unknown , , No comments

Step 1: Open up Cydia and install the ‘Spire‘ tweak, developed by chpwn. (Special thanks to him..)

Step 2: After installation, open up the device Settings application and head to ‘General >> Siri‘ and       make sure the toggle is set to ‘On‘.

Step 3: Head back to the root of the Settings menu and select ‘Spire‘.

Step 4: In the Spire settings menu, populate the proxy URL field with‘https://i4sirifree.mooo.com/’.

Step 5: Open up Mobile Safari and head to ‘http://i4siri.com/installcertificate.html

Step 6: Install the certificate. Activate Siri and make a request.

Obviously for this to work, the installation of Spire and an iOS 5 capable device is required. The i4Siri   server wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for certain open source projects which it is built upon such as   siriServer by Eichhoernchen and SiriProxy by Plamoni. If you crave some Siri interaction and you have only have an older generation device, give it a shot and see what you think.

If you like my Blog or Youtube channel please Subscribe to it ... As i will be coming up with more   interesting updates in future ! cheers :)
